Welcome to IDERA virtual Education Series. This video covers how to diagnose queries in SQL Doctor. SQL Doctor helps DBAs [database administrators] to quickly find SQL Server performance problems and provide detailed recommendations as well as dynamically generated scripts to help resolve those problems quickly. Some queries consume more resources than others. There are some that consume more processors, or memory, or both. SQL Doctor helps you save time by analyzing the most troublesome queries without having to wait for a full analysis to complete. Simply: Click on Diagnose Queries. Use the Server and Database drop-down lists to select the SQL Server instance and database on which this query either currently runs or runs in the future. Type your query And click Diagnose. By clicking the Diagnose button, SQL Doctor can run an analysis of that query and provides you with recommendations on the performance of the query without actually executing it. And that is how you can diagnose queries in SQL Doctor. For more information on SQL Doctor, join us in the community at community.idera.com.
